Black paint actually makes a really nice background for gold, I do that with my polymer clay.

Saw the reveal, and it’s cute!!! It is reading lavender on camera, though, which is why I think people are saying it looks weird. Just want to say the things on the drawers that you grab and pull are called knobs or handles. Hinges are on doors and stuff (opposite knobs) to let them swing open and closed. Unless there’s a different definition for hinges? Maybe regional? I’ve never heard knobs called hinges before.

Yes to the resin! That way it will be easier to set stuff on top of it. Especially if you leave a small lip so things cant roll off

I think it is because the grey seems to lean towards lavender (chould be just how it shows on camera) in this stage it seems to clash with the dark green and gold. but I'm sticking with the vision and can't wait to see the end result

I am loving the theme so far but I also love maximalist designs. For the coffee table, maybe just a coat of something to make it shinier? Having a flat table isn’t super important in this case since it doesn’t really need to be as functional as it would need to be for a human. But having a flat table top would also possibly make it easier to clean in the future?
