At 47 years old..these old theme songs sure bring back great memories as a kid growing up in the 80s! 😢

A Ham Radio featured in the latest episode of Only Murders In The Building led me down this rabbit hole to this theme song.

This theme song is so good it could have been on the radio. Ahh the 80s when shows actually had theme songs. Love this.

Balki’s hope and optimism is just so embraceable. When he gets on the carriage and can’t contain his emotions...Love it.

Ugh, hearing this theme song makes me tear up for a time long gone. To this day, every time I go through a revolving door I fondly think of this show and I smile for a second and all those memories come flooding back to me. ❤️

This brings back so many memories, and also some tears. Friday nights as a kid. TGIF. They would show this, Full House and Family Matters. Plus some other shows. My mom would get my little brother and me a bunch of big bags of chips and we would mix them all in a big black bowl, and sit and watch these shows together. I miss those days.

This TV intro itself is proof of why the 80s is the best decade ever.

FACT:- This show spun off into "Family Matters", and was in the same universe, as the mother was the elevator operator at Larry and Balki's office.

I use to watch this when I was a kid with my little brother and my older sister back in the 80's. I'm in my 40's now. Those were innocent times. So glad I'm a child of the 80's and not today.

It’s weird how you grow up with these nostalgic foggy memories of shows like this. I was born in ‘81 I remember my mom would watch these shows. Listening to this theme song gives me crazy nostalgia vibes.

Lyrics
🎶Sometimes the world looks perfect, nothing to rearrange.
Sometimes you just get a feeling like you need some kind of change.
No matter what the odds are this time, nothing's gonna stand in my way.
This flame in my heart, like a long lost friend gives every dark street a light at the end.🎶

🎶Standing tall, on the wings of my dream.
Rise and fall, on the wings of my dream.

🎶The rain and thunder, the wind and haze, I'm bound for better days.
It's my life and my dream, nothing's gonna stop me now, (nothing's gonna stop me now).
It's my life and my dream, nothing's gonna stop me now.🎶

🎶Nothing's gonna stop me now🎶
