There is no problem in building an app structure, like a decent login page, or data grids. Software development will be needed when you are building a real time system that actually performs some business operations. Developers spend months to understand the requirements and then build accordingly, keen to learn how to automate that part

These are companies who sell us these products and they have to say it can replace humans, but if you go a tiny bit deeper you can't do it.
It can only generate a basic site and do basic things if it's more complicated it can't, atleast yet.

Also LLMs have reached a plateau now, I have tried gpt4.5, gemini 2.5, claude opus, as of now they can pretty much do the tasks in the same way and fail in the same way as well.

Built a whole app is a very vague thing to say. An app can be as easy as few pages or can be as complex as Amazon app. Many things go around when working with software like its bugs, changes in code optimization logics, change in business model etc such things keep happening daily in production applications. So to keep track of all these things and saying that AI can do all such things is BS. There are so many business verticals that operate differently, have different requirements but are still dependent on each others services all these things are just not possible with AI where you think just by prompting it will generate code that will satisfy all the business needs.

Btw before dizzing on AI - give cursor a shot i was able to do a desktop app in python in an afternoon totally vibe coding - ( I have been coding for last 20 years )

So technically they will be in a loop, stuck forever if they do not understand code if there is a bug....coz many a times these code generator start giving same these are tools to code fast but it will not going to help non coders a bit.
