How to Revert Back To Classic Ribbon View in Microsoft Outlook 2021 [Tutorial]

Microsoft introduced a “simplified ribbon” in early 2021 for various Office programs, including Microsoft Outlook on Windows, Word for web, and Excel for web. The new ribbon shows fewer icons and takes up less space. If this isn’t for you, there’s a very easy way to get the classic ribbon back.

The classic ribbon that you are probably used to has a good number of icons on it.

This tutorial will apply for Microsoft Outlook 2021, 2019, 2013, and 2010 for both Windows (such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba, Acer, Asus) and macOS (MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, MacBook Mini) devices.

That trick works fine in the folder view. However, when you are composing a new email and you right-click on the simplified ribbon, it gives you the option "Use Classic Ribbon", but when you click on that option it just expands to the expanded version of the new ribbon. I don't see a way to get the classic ribbon in the new email view.

Do you know how revert back the classic bar where are " contacts and calendar" like you have right now? :)

the view in MS Outlook Live is awful, virtually no information on-screen, imposible to compact it, and so clunky. It's like using proper Outlook while wearing boxing gloves, utter crap!
