A little bit of grease on the little nub in the front of the spring carrier/blade guide helps it operate more smoothly, at least for me. Very nice design, yes it is more complicated than others out there but it is also more reliable. Thanks for sharing!

Second print I ever did on my Ankermake M5, printed without brims using PLA+, works stupidly good and is so much fun.

I used the comb variant and will be using it as a travel comb from now on.

MAD props for the design, it's honestly superb

2:08 if you actually came here looking for assembly instructions, recommend muting it as OP didn't think it necessary to include any information except music mixed too loud, GL.

really cool! Printing it in a solid black matte sunlu on my A1 right now. I never thought about how silky filaments could somehow affect mechanical properties. No idea how that even works but it's interesting to know.

This is a great model! It’s so fidgety and satisfying, printed perfectly on my a1 mini both times! He first time though it didn’t work because I didn’t listen and used silk pla, but the second time it printed perfect and worked great!🔪

I'm super impressed that you modeled up that mechanism in Blender!

I sat down to it prepared for keychain-prop-like experience, and took me 30 sec just like in the video. I used PETG comb instead of blade, and it took just a minute of breaking in to run perfect. Good design, thanks!

I had to try a few times, couldn't get the blade to slide. Took it apart and tried again, then it worked!! Thanks for sharing!! I used black and red pla basic!👍

for a box opener its really really good, i did print from PLA and yes from of the bed its STIFF as hell but a dab of DW40 works wonders, i have checked my PLA and WD40 wont degrade it THAT much

Very cool model, I saw it a couple of days ago over at makerworld and recognized the username! i've printed another OTF fidget knife before but these look like massive improvements over that one.

Question, mine can't really shoot out upwards. It doesn't "lock" at all when shooting it upwards. Used matte PLA for everything but the blade. (Blade has matte + silk)
What migh tbe wrong?
