I would take Newt at his word if I didn't already know that it's the Republicans who were wanting to raise the debt limit would their budget plan by way of extending the tax cuts for the rich. It would have raised our debt by almost 4 trillion dollars alone, if the Republicans had gotten their way.

The only taxes that the Democrats wanted to raise were on the rich where they would pay their fair share and that would drive down the deficit by almost 3 trillion. Not to mention a number of the bills that were saved under the negotiation of joe Biden, are things that the Republicans wanted to remove which were for the people and for this country. It's not wasteful spending if you're investing in the people. Not to mention the Republicans want to do away with entitlement programs like Medicare and social security. And that's from Kevin McCarthy's mouth in an interview he did just days after getting the bill to raise the debt ceiling passed in the house.

The thing is is the Republicans are going to paint this is a victory for them when they actually got nothing in this deal to be honest. Joe Biden protected all the bills that he put forth early in his presidency had passed, and most of the spending issues or things that they can revisit in order to pass later when it comes to Future bills. Biden plated brilliantly by waiting until the last minute forcing the hand of Kevin McCarthy to accept Joe's terms.

Every Republican has to vote for whoever wins the primary elections in every state in every election. The RNC has to give us better candidates. That should take care of the problem.

This was a boring podcast at the start. A bunch of rambling on and on in the beginning, but towards the end it actually was worth a listen. This was a good play by play by Gingrich, it was very well worded and on key or point and educational.
