Great video. Question how do you drain your coolant from your engine block? I assume If you just open up the radiator bottom valve coolant is still left in engine block and heater core. Thx

Question! On the passenger side there’s a plug next to the headlight assembly plug but longer and shaped differently, mines black and yellow and I cant remember what it goes to!

What kind of radiator is this, ? my lines were rusted on. So I planned on getting new ones. I cut it off then twisted it off with the fitting attached. Bad idea- the internal trans radiator fell to the bottom. Just getting a new one at this point.

Those threaded pieces that screw into the radiator for the transmission lines. Do you just tighten them all the way down into the radiator and then tighten the lock nut onto it, and then screw the line fitting onto the threaded piece?

My 2004 WJ radiator just failed at the same area. Neck inlet actually broke off. Just ordered an all aluminum radiator for my jeep and preparing for work🤓

01 WJ V8 This video besides being fun to watch is straight archival. Seriously. I am using it to reconstruct my grill and primarily useful is the bright sunlight which clearly shows all details of the front fender/header headlights etc.... Thank you. From your accent I'm guessing Ya'll are from Northern Alabama?

Project Dan.. That upper hose you just removed @ 9:35..., mines was baked on there.. so i went and removed the rubber hose from both upper and lower lines off the radiator from under the jeep to remove the old radiator.. Now that I put in the new radiator and cooling hard lines on the radiator...I ask.. ..does the top cooler lines from the radiator connect back to the top rubber hose trans line.. or vs... I hope you understand my question.. help a girl out.. pleeese!!

Do you have a part number for those $22 upper and lower trans hard lines? All I can find is the full line from rad to trans, and they are like 100 bucks each!

Glad I found this video. About to start my first radiator replacement on my 2001 WJ and your video shows the process so clearly. Here's hoping the transmission lines don't give me trouble haha
