I took your advice, I was in Quartzsite and I meandered South by way of Kofa, and settled for the afternoon here in American Girl mine BLM! Definitely like it here, has a friendly feel not too crowded but not to empty nice and flat and I spent the whole afternoon exploring the local Hills and mines on my e-bike!

A quick tip if you want to find a scorpion. If you use a black light at night they will glow when the black light hits them.

Love this video, we live North of you in Palm Springs. This time of the year is heaven. Perfect weather as you discussed.

I moved from Minn. to Nevada in 1970, courtesy of the military, and I fell in love with it. I retired in 2010 and have been fulltiming since. I spend most time in Az. Love watching your videos.

I live in the southwest (Las Vegas) and I still like southwest boondocking the most. There's so much easily accessible space (67% of Nevada is public land, for example). It works well for those of us that like to "wing it" more than plan. I just find camp when I get tired of driving, without much thought.

The west being so mountainous (Nevada again has 150 named mountain ranges, the most of any state) means that you can escape to higher elevations relatively easily if you get the taste for snow in the winter or want to escape the summer heat. It'll be 100 degrees in summer, but I can drive 40 minutes and need a jacket.

The only downside is how far apart some things are, it can be a bit tedious to drive so long to get anywhere. I once went like 170 miles between gas stations.

I agree with you...I don't like Florida, but I like the desert.

As I am watching your video I could see my rig in the background in some of your shots😊 This is one of my favorite boondoocking spots as well!

As a life time westerner, I had to laugh about the bugs in Florida discussion. All the biting bugs love me, so I hate them and I do not do humidity. I have one absolute rule in life: Never live anywhere east of Denver or south of Phoenix!

My Christine says the bugs attack her personally too. Liked the reference to Castaway. Wilson…….. ⚽️. The west sounds great for the winter. A little difficult when you live (and work) on the east coast.

Ugg. Give me Florida every winter. No dust, plenty of free camping as well. The weather is warmer and there is ah, water down here. Not washes, but golfs, and oceans. Oh, should I mention that there is very, very few wokies here. Not allowed.

We love the West!! Unfortunately I get homesick after 2 weeks. I miss big trees while out west. That is the beauty of RVing. You just move on when there is a need for different scenery. Great video!!

Living in Georgia, we completely understand the desire to be in a place AWAY from the bugs. If I'm not mistaken, Georgia, recently made the mosquito the state bird.😀 FYI - I changed my Google profile to reflect both mine and Becky's name (like our Patreon handle) as we both enjoy following you guys. As always a very informative and another beautiful location. 💕
