Pulmonology department are getting merged in General medicine in many medical colleges as NMC has removed respiratory medicine from ug curriculum. No new medical college has vacancy for md pulmonary medicine. Even AIIMS is not accepting md pulmonary medicine candidate as faculty. They only want DM pulmonary medicine people. Indian chest society has filed a case in high court in Nagpur regards this. Be wary of taking pulmonary branch as opportunities are getting lesser and lesser in medical colleges.NMC may phase out MD respiratory medicine in near future.

sir you got college on choice number 14(ucms) in R1, and in upgradation you got choice number 15(rml). what does upgradation actually mean? is it not priority based because if it was, you would have gotten choice 13(mysore medicine) as upgradation. SOMEONE PLEASE CLEAR MY CONFUSION 🙏
