House environment panel OK's bill establishing regulatory framework for gas, oil production 4/24/24

HF5350 would establish a regulatory framework for gas and oil production in the state, including requiring the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to adopt rules, establishing a task force to develop recommendations for a temporary regulatory framework, and appropriating money for these purposes.

As amended, it was approved Wednesday in the House Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee heads now to the House Ways and Means Committee.
