First rain and coho salmon fishing

After several months of no rain, first rains come after four months. Salmon holding in deep water staging and rolling getting ready to swim upriver to spawn. Will they start continue to ignore our bait and lures? Come find out and see the results.

The rivers are all blown-out from all the rain... I went out looking for some fishable water on Sunday, but no luck. Water was too fast at the mouth of the Clackamas, up the Clackamas, and even Eagle Creek. QUESTION: Where do you suggest that I try???

hey back fishing dude thanks again for your awesome videos! I went to the Sandy River last weekend and it was dead no fish were rolling so I can't tell if they were still downstream waiting to go up or they already went upstream? so when was this filmed and what river were you in? not asking for the exact location. might go out this weekend. by the way you're using my favorite color in lure the flying C. but I use a different color blade. way to go two in a row! I know The rains of pain but how can you quit so soon after that? lol

Wow, nice fish Hale!! Our crab season opened Saturday and I will be out Wednesday trying out your snares!! I have most of my gear ready. I bought some Sputnik weights just in case the tide is ripping. I'm still undecided if I want to crab from the pier or the beach. It's been raining good here in Calif. too!!

I noticed you did not use a net. You fight the fish until they are exhausted. If you had a net you would not need to fight them so much. I wonder how many of those fish perish because you fight them too long.
