Things You Only Notice In Alita After Watching It More Than Once

Ever since Alita: Battle Angel hit theaters in 2019, ardent fans have been begging for a sequel. A collaboration between director Robert Rodriguez and producer James Cameron, Alita is an adaptation of the popular ‘90s manga series Battle Angel Alita by Yukito Kishiro. It’s everything you could want in such an adaptation: a stylish, cyberpunk action flick that delivers on both visuals and storytelling.

There’s so much to take in on a first viewing, but there’s even more to appreciate on a second watch. Even if fans never get the Alita sequel they want, at least they have an incredible first film that’s totally rewatchable. These are the things you notice in Alita: Battle Angel after watching it again.

I loved the movie.
If they followed the manga though, then at the end of movie, the body Alita has in the Motor Arena isn't a new form of the berserker but a new different body made specifically for motor ball.
Then, during the next movie, we will see Alita challenge the champion to a motor ball game. Later, Zartan returns and steals Alita's berserker body but loose control of it and his sense of self turning into monster similar to Tetsuo's monster form in Akira.

I loved this movie even though I am not a fan of the ultraviolent Manga and Anime on which it is based. Mostly I loved the excellent CGI and especially Rosa Salazar's perfect Mo-Cap performance. I would love to see more of her in this capacity, but it has been two years and nothing has been done with regards to an Alita sequel, so I am not holding my breath.
