Does the sparkling water lose carbonation faster b/c of the kernels, too?

Well the only reason why popcorn kernels sink in water because the kernels have a weight, but the sparkling water has baking soda, which has carbon dioxide, which makes the sparkling water have so much bubbles. So the bubbles will attach onto the kernels.

it will sink, but the bubbles will make it float, I did this with raisins in a soft drink once xD

Frozen blueberries will do that in beer to, a restaurant in my town actually serve a blueberries beer with blueberries in it and exactly that happens

It's better than a lava lamp, because instead of waiting 20 Minutes until the spectable starts and then 20 of it still going while you're gone, now you actually see it happening while you pay attention and when you leave the room it stops automatically
