Driver's race based on the performance testing. Very similar quarter mile times, but the Vette will win the most as the Hellcat has a larger margin of error. Both cars when maxed can do right at 11 sec quarter mile, Hellcat is faster with drag radials tho.

I'm surprised at the matter that a 4 seat car even managed to stay as close as it did. considering the wheel spin and sorry with on the wheels the hellcat comes with. great cars and awesome race.

The Vipers son (hellcat) looks at the tail lights of Z06 pull away also. Maybe they should put that 707hp supercharged V-8 in the Viper before they retire it.

My stock 2015 hellcat challenger 6sp went 168mph in the standing half mile. At speedfest battle creek Michigan balloon championship

Corvette C7 Z06: 147mph
CTS-V: 147mph
Charger SRT Hellcat: 152mph

Hellcat is heavier with way worse aerodynamics but yet still manages to finish 2 mph shy of Z06 that's 30-40k more in price. Pretty damn impressive for the Dodge, not so impressive for the Z06. I think GM has some more work and research to do. Maybe should give Ford or Dodge a call for advice.

Vette and Challenger are different classes of cars all together. 4 seats in a vehicle shaped like a lunch pail vs 2 seats in a car shaped like a jet fighter. Mopars are incredibly sensitive to air temperature, on a cold day - the tables would be the other way around. Plus, the A8 is simply a faster transmission.

I've driven both, but to be fair: My buddy only had the black key with him for the Hellcat when I drove it. The Corvette is more visceral, but I actually liked the Hellcat as a daily driver. It's more like a regular car (with just a lot of power). Of course, if you want pure sport then the Corvette is better.

That was not an ideal launch for the Hellcat. The Charger Hellcat did 152 mph. Clearly the Challenger can do better.

Z06 will beat a hellcat around a track as well. dodge has never been able to master the handling of their cars because it's like driving a ocean liner

Must have been terrible conditions. I ran that fast in a 1/2 mile when my C6 Z06 was stock at an elevation of 2724(not sure of DA).

it prob a 6 speed hellcat.stock A8 Hellcat can manage 147 to 153.

Given the weight, distribution, and tires of the Hellcat, it really surprised me here.
