Holy cow...this man's guitar skills...and that amazing voice. No dubbing, no other instruments, no auto-tune. Folks, this is what you call pure talent.

My son was playing a gig at Humps in Huntsville. He started playing a Cody Johnson song, and suddenly 2 guys jumped up behind him and started playing a extra guitar, and singing backup.

Honestly, it caught me by surprise and I was a little off put by it, but it sounded really great! Another guy there saw the look on my face and said, “Those guys are 2 of Cody Johnson’s band members! They weren’t trying to take over, they’re not like that. They just wanted to give him some back up!”.

After the song, the guys asked my son to come join them at Cody’s gig at Shenanigans, and they’d introduce him and Cody would be damn glad to meet him. My son thanked them for the invite, but explained he had a college final he HAD to go study for as it was the next morning, otherwise he’d have been thrilled!

That was really nice of those guys to do that for an unknown college kid just singing to make a little extra money.
