At the Belton, TX Hamfest I found a new in the package DX CC this past Saturday (10/5/2024). It was up and on the air the next day as an inverted V with the apex hanging from a tree at about 34'. Prior to that my only antenna was a Radio Wavz 20M Double Bazooka. The double bazooka has slightly better sensitivity and is probably a little quieter but it's hard to tell with the solar activity. X-ray hit M2.1 on Saturday and X1.2 today, the following Monday. The double bazooka definitely raises weak signals up out of the background better but the tradeoff is 20M only vs. 80M-10M and the DX-cc is doing a great job. The double bazooka remains in service on my older radio. I am going to try to reorient the double bazooka perpendicular to the DX CC for better east-west propagation. Planning on a hex beam as my next antenna. They ROCK!

Well dang! let me the first after a year of no comments lol....I'm going to put a Dx CC antenna up this weekend hopefully. Texas boy here as well(if Im to take the Texas paraphernalia literal lol). Who knows, we may cross paths, although, you appear to be in East Texas. 73
