3. Protect his wrists. drumming is about longevity. Bones in the wrists don't fully calcify until 13-15.

I can't believe that the 3 judges made a big deal about Simon giving the Space show a golden buzzer.
So, if they didn't get an extra buzzer would they have taken it away from them? Sad that adults could respond to such a special moment in such an immature way.
