E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m BNF - 3s Max Aerobatics!?!?

The E-flite Commander mPd has quickly become one of my favorite planes because it flies so well. I love how fast, smooth and aerobatic it is on 4s but still will tumble, snap and spin with the best of them. But… what about 3s? So I swapped the 12x6 prop for an APC 13x8 and dropped a well used Spektrum Smart 3s 2200 30c in for grins. Let’s just say I am very pleasantly surprised how great it flies. ;)

Very nice indeed. I liked the knife edge turn after takeoff. The type of plane that likes to be thrown around the sky.

You’ve got your manoeuvres dialled right in from the takeoff bro. Very impressive! She goes just fine on the 3S too, isn’t lacking for performance from what I can see.

I know I'm late here... but damn nice flying! I love the commander.
I usually fly it 4s but yours is hauling ass on 3s!
With that bigger/more pitch prop on 4s it may go even faster... what do you think? I love that speed brother man! Nice video!

So all you changed, as far as throw3s, is the ball link positions on the servos? Everything else is stock as far as throws? I just put one together and was wondering if you unlocked the receiver and i9ncreased the throws or maybe yours was the PNP and you installed your own receiver????

Did you have to add any nose weight after dropping to such a liter battery?There's a big difference in weight 3300 3S or 4S as recamended to a 2200 3S.

It looks like the blue Commander flies better on 3s than the red one did. I think they upgraded the esc and it seems more responsive, or its just you on the sticks.

Well Michael, You have done it again....showing us amateur pilots a thing or two about flying! I went with the Cirrus after seeing your last video & now this, but my hangar is full & I will stick to the RV-7. Well flown as usual. Are you on steroids? LOL
