“Open Banking and Open Finance”

This panel aims to evaluate the EU's regulatory initiatives in this domain, especially in the area of PSR, the PSD3 and the Open Finance Regulation, gauge their global impact, and crucially, deliberate on the strategic regulatory changes the EU should embrace during the forthcoming mandate (2024-2029). As both the Open banking and Open Finance regulatory frameworks are in the process of the “first reading”, we will explore the economic targets and industry challenges that both incumbents and disruptors face. These changes are considered vital in accelerating technological solutions and to improve business and operational models, accelerate Fintech solutions as well as economic efficiency and legal certainty.
