Awesome to see you still riding, Dave. I still ride a bit, but I didn't ride for about 10 years and getting back into it is difficult. I started in '87, so I have a little more experience than most - I'd have to say that a hitchhiker is FAR beyond a beginner move. I was happy to see the other tricks, as I've seen a few "beginner" how to's and the tricks were so advanced it was certain to discourage people from picking up on the sport. Tricks I think are great beginner tricks and stepping stones are: Mega spins, Cyclones, tailwhips ( as a primer for whiplashes ), and once a person perfects backwards steamrollers, the fire hydrant. Great video!

Cool video!

I find it hilarious that a surfer is now a "beginner trick." When I was growing up (in the mid-80s), there probably weren't 3 guys in my entire town that could do a surfer. Many of us looked at that trick as completely nuts! lol

Hell yeah man I'm 19 and have done street for 7 years and racing for 5 months and I just picked up a 1986 diamondback hot streak rusted and beat on the side of the road stripped for its parts and want to rebuild it

Thanks for these but they're definitely more for those with a background in riding already I'd say rather than complete beginner 🤔 I'm coming new to BMX at 36 and feel there's a long way to go before getting any of the single wheel tricks...

What would be a good intermediate bike for this style?

Well, what about the weight of the bike? I mean, I have a BMX made in Japan and it weighs approximately 18 kilograms. Can I train on it or not? Please answer me.😢
