【Destroyed Aperture】Portal gun - In-game

I modeled, textured and animated this weapon model for Destroyed Aperture, an upcoming Portal 2 mod. I also got the model to work in Source Engine. Here it is in-game, used in Portal 2's campaign.

There have been very few Portal Device replacements I've actually really liked, but this one looks great. It retains the Aperture feel to it while simultaneously feeling very different. Nice work.

This seems really cool but if it's supposed to be broken I think it'd be good to add some more "broken" components to it since it seems like a redux at this point. A great example is in Portal Story: Mel's gun where there's a paper clip replacing one of the prongs of the device, that also glows red hot when you pick something up because it's got a high current running through it.

The overall design is great, but I would like to see the Aperture logo "spin" whenever the light is up

It looks so cool. Even the original one by itself is one of the most amazing looking things of videogame history and this may or may not look even cooler

Looks pretty good, I would say I would probably increase the kick because it looks a little slow. The original game is definitely had a nice strong kick and twist

I really like the portal gun, It has the mix of the portal 2 industrial aesthetic, with the clean cyberpunk aesthetic of portal 1.
