240SX S13 Build - Coolant Line Repairs and Road Test

It's been a long time since this 240SX last drove down the street and up the highway. Even with all of the issues it feels great to get behind the wheel and drive it, instead of having to work on it. Driving it earlier this week and popping two coolant hoses could have been due to running hot. Without a temperature gauge or cooling fans, I was definitely not playing it safe. I advise that you have these things in place before getting too far from home.

The vibration in the car was not near this severe before the RB swap. It's harsh enough that something is eventually going to break if I don't figure out what's causing it. The problem could even be my homemade front hubs. I can't even remember if there is hub centric rings on the rims or not. The idling and stalling however I believe are related. The more I clean up everything the easier the JDM Gremlins will be to find.

Thanks for watching! Maybe next week I will plan for the cooling fans and the thermostat to control them to be installed. That should be a good video for most vehicles. STAY TUNED!

Good stuff...I always remove the coolant throttle passage. Down in Florida we do not have to worry about freezing the throttle but wonder how much the coolant heat soaks the TB and raises IAT's. Also, regarding the stalling, if the IACV is like KA aka spring loaded, you can use deep creep to help clear it up from gum. I also raise my idle with the IACV screw. For a long time I did not adjust this and needed to heel toe at every stop. Glad to see you working out the gremlins.

At least the driving issues are consistent. Don't know the type of car well enough to really comment on them but I always look for the easiest solutions first when I have issues, in your case wheel alignment and tyre balance, home made front hubs running true? Re the stalling is there not an anti stall sensor? Keep plugging at it.
