Christian did a great job of stabilising us and representing the club. He also played a huge role in getting the planning permission for the new stand and redevelopment of the area around Villa Park over the line. A lot to be thankful for. Hopefully we act quickly and appoint his successor. Must have someone already lined up for them to pull the trigger now. UTV

As a Villa fan here in Greece i cant say that i know everything he s done off the pitch but he s done much and he helped bring us to where we are now. I have to say one thing that i really liked ( and i believe in this day in age football clubs should operate like that ) was the video explaining the Grealish departure. It was a nice touch to inform the fans about it and expaining the stance of Villa. I think it makes us fans feel closer to the Club if we are informed about some major decisions directly from the Club 😎✌ UTV

I’m grateful for what he has done for the club but I also understand that this needed to happen to go to the next stage of the plan and to bring someone Elite in to match our Elite manager

He has helped progress our club massively, on and off the pitch and is leaving us in a very healthy state. He will move to West Ham….!

Onto Monchi, Emery likes and trusts him and has an amazing scouting network to identify the young ‘under the radar’ players seville are good at identifying and bringing in.

After that Fulham game where nasef sawaris was there, ordered purslow to sack Gerrard. Then went on to hire Emery without purslow involved. Are we even surprised?

Great video Luke. I'll always thank Christian Purslow for getting Villa Park and the North Stand to 50, 000 by 2028, and getting Villa Park and The Holte End and the Doug Ellis Stand to 60, 000 by 2032. Also along with our new Villa Live BoxPark food court building (which I think will be open everyday, and you'll be able to watch Aston Villa away games in there as well) which is great. A new massive club kit shop, much better transport links, Aston and Witton train station platforms being expanded, our new Brookvale Academy with our very own Wembley Way as well.

Purslow also has a good relationship with the Birmingham Council and the Mayor of Birmingham, and I also think he's made people who live very close to Villa Park very happy as well, because the club are going to improve the areas of Aston and Witton, and make people who live there have a better way of living, which I like because it's showing respect to other people.


All those things I love, however on the pitch I think Purslow has made a lot of disappointing decisions, but I think his biggest mistake was employing Steven Gerrard, and I think that cost him his job.

Hopefully we can get a CEO who's excellent at making on the pitch decisions, because off the pitch I think we're in a very good position, and fair play to Purslow for that. But like I've said, I think now we need a CEO who can make that difference on the pitch and I think that's what the club are going to do. UTV 💜💙

I'm shocked as well. Liked him a lot, thought he presented the club well. Especially considering where he took us. And nobody knew Beale was the brains of the operation when SG arrived. On paper it looked like a smart appointment. Still if the owners think it's the right move then I'll back it.
