I hear this song and it makes me stand tall. I suddenly feel as if nothing could stand against me. Like I could punch through a brick wall or haul a pallet of concrete bags on my shoulders. Like any sort of army or empire could hurl themselves at my state and they would fall back broken and defeated. Kansas may not look like a place of excitement and wonder. But true beauty doesn’t demand to be looked at. We in Kansas have peace, pride, and courage.

As a Sooner fan, I agree this is my all time favorite foght song in the Big 12. No disrespect to the other schools but I just can’t get enough of K State’s fight song.

Looking forward to seeing the K-State marching band again next week in the Liberty Bowl Parade in Memphis, TN! I visited Manhattan and other parts of Northeast Kansas 2 months ago on vacation! Had a great time up there!

I attended Griffin High School in Georgia. This was our fight song, too. As a trumpet player in the band, it was a great tune. We were state runners-up 2 years, co-champs once and outright champs in the other season, so we played this a lot.
