Howitzers are doing fine in War Thunder. It's alright for a vehicle to be behind the meta if it can still reliably get kills within its groove. Later SPH's with lasers would be fun. The one we have is great fun, apparently.

Exactly what i meant. If indirect fire, add extra steps. As the player did not see the enemy, just lay the "Hit" marker, but no marker on the map, adding communication with the team. And the shells must be quite inprecise. But if this would come, i'd actually remove the offmap-artillery. Have players donk down a marker on the map, and the arty must decide whether to fire on the coordinates or not. Bad idea? Certainly. Would i still go ahead? Yes.

Only negative thought that came to mind, about carriers being added more so, is the amount of people that will rush to eliminate those who are slow trying to land. AA can only do so much

Aside from that proposal for indirect fire calculations for SPHs, I think they should interact in some way with the scouting mechanic. Like if an enemy vehicle is scouted, the SPH will be able to calculate its shot faster and more accurately.

I just thought of a thing that it would be cool if they somehow will link arty skill that light and medium vehicles have to the artillery mode in SPH's as a note of balance and cohesion of game mechanics. It will be hard to do tho, but extremely cool.

As someone who played WoT for years, artillery is fine as long as you don’t give them magical trajectory. You can already kinda calculate the distance using Pythagoras theorem and adding only that would be fine.
What you do not want is shell falling down at anything more than 30 degrees angle capable of hitting targets behind buildings, or else even if it’s not effective you would have people sitting in spawn jacking off for the whole match.

they could put a bonus in the speed by driving a tank in the drivers camera.like 5% booster in the speed in faster vehicles(like light tanks and spg) and 10% in heavy tanks, so people have to use it because is there without any purpose.That would be nice

Also an update to aircraft damage models would be nice. Instead of having the entire wing as the damage model it could be split in 2. 1 part for the leading edge and the rest of the wing.
This would fix the problem with wing damage affecting flight.
The leading edge is the most important part of the wing. Damage to the main wing and. It the leading edge does have an effect but not as a great effect as the leading edge

Snapshot kills, CAS slaughter, and heli bullies is very common anyways. Might as well have invisible niche killers that keep the AA company at spawn. More ways to die.

Why is noone talking about spawn kills, and how to stop that nonsense. my idea is to just make it imposible to kill anyone in spawn area, so the team get to get a chance to fight back, and potentionaly turn the game around. i know, there is only flaw with AA vehicles, they can't just be invincible. so take that as a factor of change somehow.
