It was great to be back at WorldCon for Chicon 8, and I'm sorry I missed talking about things like the Booktube/Bookstagram panel, Reija's Adapting Fashions, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

It was great to see you too. I always have a fun time at Worldcon. So much to see and do. Seeing people in person that you only know online is so 21st century.
I had my 12 year old granddaughter watch this video just to see her reaction when you said my name, she is very impressed that a YouTuber knows me me!

I was very excited when they announced Glasgow as the 2024 host city. Scotland is always a great idea, but I'm biased like that. Glad to see your return to in-person conventions was a good one.

Wow I didn't know WorldCon 2024 would be in Scotland. That's not too far from me, so maybe I'll try to attend. I've been in Scotland before, but never in Glasgow, so that's a good chance to visit.

I'm a little sad that Project Hail Mary didn't get the Hugo, it was my favorite book of last year, though I didn't read any of the other shortlisted novels, so I have no grounds to comment :). And I know people have been raving about the Teixcalaan series so I guess I'll have to pick up A Memory Called Empire soon.

Huh, maybe I could attend in 2024, Glasgow isn't too difficult travel-wise for me. 😅I'm also a sucker for museum gift shops, was like a child in London's Natural History Museum one (was also gone to the UK exactly from the 1st to the 5th of September). I also got soooo many books in London bookstores and in the museums (I live in a French-speaking place, so gotta make the most of it when I'm in the UK lol), without thinking beforehand that I'd have to carry them back home. 😂 Still, I prevailed and brought my "loot" safely home back with me.

I just read A Civil Campaign and it's hilarious. I really like this series. I might plan for Glasgow 2024, that would be great. And I plan to read The Daughter of Doctor Moreau soon too.

Pop quiz: what do SF jewelry and Civil Campaign have in common? Seriously, think of an author writing a series with dozens of novels, showing steady personal growth not only in the main character but also in family and found family. How could she wrap it up at the end??? Well, Bujold pulls it off, fer sure. Love love love it. 3 years ago I re-read the whole series, in order this time. Well worth it.
