ME-FT is a kind of economical wellbore stabilizer sulphonated asphalt which can inhibit shale hydration dispersing and reducing the filtration loss at high temperature and high pressure in drilling fluid , It is black brown powder and easily soluble in water,when it adsorb on the crystal layer section of shale, can stop the particles of shale hydration disperse to prevent collapse,meanwhile the part of solid which insoluble can be used to fill the pore and fracture, cover the shale interface to improve the quality of mud cake,achieve the purpose of sealing;When it adsorb on the shale micro-fractures ,can stop water infiltrate into the shale and reduce the erosion of blocks.It is widely used in exploration Wells.
