Porter Robinson making some of the best electronic music using FL and some preset sounds really made me reevaluate my habit of spending thousands of dollars on VSTs

Your League song makes me break down and ugly cry every time I hear it. The song reminds me of my old husband.

Porter has been an inspiration to producers everywhere.

You articulated these ideas very well! Especially with the example of multiple vocals sounding like 1. I've subtly noticed this before but never thought much of it.

2 of my favorite artist saying the same concept and I'd love to follow it

Never have I ever heard such wisdom on a YouTube Short, I probably have 50+ unfinished “Bob Ross paintings” that are one or two happy accidents away from being realized.

hes absolutely right lol, the amount of time i spend on mixing vocal is almost as much as making the whole beat sometimes

I got the vsx recently. I got a vocal harmony chain that is just the right compression, just the right power, just the right texture for me. tweak some knobs and it sounds consistent on each song. vocal chains that are solid for you are amazing

I wanna learn more from porter. By far been my favorite artist and an inspiration for me to make (shitty) music.

Been listening since spitfire and he's only gotten more and more incredible. It makes me so happy to see how much he's grown and how nuch of an audience he's accumulated over the years.

Especially coming out with nurture after his hiatus. The entire album telling a story about his self doubt and percieved lack of creativity while explaining his process for moving forward.

Such a great producer and person

I like the comparison to coming into focus. That's just music and art in general, it takes different skills to get different "colours" to blend together, different sonic spaces. It's not until right at the end when you're at the 98% mark that everything sounds like it fits and is sharp. It still needs work, and dialling in that last 2% can take AGES before release but still, great analogy!
