I am 78 years old and I have found my MT09 acceptable comfort wise. Before I put my touring windshield on it wasn’t acceptable comfort wise. I was truly impressed by the change a little odd shaped windshield made. I am able to go 2 to 3 hundred miles before lunch and another 2 to 3 after lunch. I get started early in the summer around 5:30 AM while it’s still cool. I have two tanks burned by 11:30 and do a light lunch with plenty of liquid intake. Sight see and lay about for a couple hours. Burn another tank walk around some with a snack along the way. Make hotel reservations and burn last tank for the day. I can do this for 3 days before I have to ease up. Works out as I can get most everywhere I go in 2 days.

I like your new format of reviewing motorcycles with practical categories and pros/cons. They allow your content to be very interesting and exciting to watch. Thank you! Nice job.

Great extended review - thank you for sharing! I just bought a 2024 MT-09 a week ago. I love it so far. I am still learning about it and getting the settings where I want them. I do agree on the turn indicator switch. I am still trying to get used to that one!

Picking mine up this morning followed by a busy few days running it in so this review perfect timing for me! It's even sunny the next few days for a change so off around the Yorkshire Dales, up to Tan Hill and through the Lake District for me before the first service on Wednesday! Btw on touring you can get a rack and back box, panniers and comfort seats as well as a screen and handguards along with heated grips. I was offered a great deal so got the lot! I think it offers much better value than the street triples. Triumph never seem to knock anything off the price and their servicing is way more expensive as I found out with my last bike, a tiger 900 gt (which this bike is WAY MORE FUN THAN). 😊

I love it. It will be interesting to see what the SP version is like and how it compares. Thanks again, great review as always.

Saw one of these on the road Saturday. Looks really good up close.

The CP3 is an great engine and Yamaha supply it in various flavours to suit your taste. The XSR900GP was one of the best looking releases of 2024 and there’s still the much anticipated R9 on the horizon

I have owned a 2023 for 18 months now. On country roads at night the headlights are not sufficient. I have to keep hi beams on permanently to see far enough ahead to go 55-65 mph. The turn radius is wide. But, most importantly, I never see another bike and wish I had bought something else. I love my MT09 and put Shad side cases and a windscreen on for touring.

Putting down a deposit on one of these today. Thanks for allaying any concerns!

I recently did a tour with a group of riders to the Cairngorms on an MT09, and i was the only one not standing up on the pegs to relieve 'arse ache' after 4hrs riding.
Very impressed with the bike and have regretted selling it ever since.

Sorry for repeating myself but I have a 65 plate Tracer 900 and I absolutely love it. I think the only bike I would change it for would be the XSR 900lc, either in the mars bar or Yamaha blue colour scheme..Great video by the way.

The exhaust without an end can along one side is apparenly a divisive factor. I absolutely love that my Tracer 900 doesn't have an ugly exhaust along one side getting in the way of my luggage. Looks much cleaner without it. Thanks for the review.

Such a strong category.
MT09, Duke 890/990, triumph street triple. Ducati Monster, Kawi 900rs. Awesome class.

Thanks for yet another thorough review. Coincidentally I test rode one earlier today, there is so much to like, quick shifter is the best I have used. Your legs grip the tank perfectly and I was impressed with the fuelling, weight and the bigger TFT. The elephant in the room was the Yamaha APR on PCP is at 9.9%, which is ridiculous. It makes an £11k bike over £13k. Other brands are offering 0% until the end of June which is a deal breaker for me. MT09 is an awesome bike and the CP3 is a truly brilliant engine.
