Dr. Kathleen Hartman was the presenter for this webinar. Production aquaculture is the fastest growing sector of agriculture globally. Its role in global food security is undeniable and its importance for the U.S. is equally critical for not only national food security but also natural resource protection, and economic development and enhancement. Aquaculture of aquatic animals is sustainable and needs to grow in the U.S. to reduce the nation's reliance on imported seafood and to help combat the trade deficit. This presentation provided a high-level overview of U.S. aquaculture production, its challenges, and the exciting new programs developed by the VS Aquaculture Team.

• Identify how the National Aquaculture Health Plan & Standards (NAHP&S) and the Comprehensive Aquaculture Health Program Standards (CAHPS) support the domestic aquaculture farming community
