Supercharger is from a Pontiac Grand Prix. It has a custom clutch attached at the front so you can turn it on or off with a switch. The throttle/butterfly on the side closes when you turn off the supercharger. The supercharger and turbo pipes join together before the intercooler. So if the supercharger is off the air would escape back out through the supercharger. So that's why a throttle was used to close off the supercharger to prevent air escaping so that the turbo alone would produce boost.

The new setup uses a mustang cobra supercharger and the pontiac supercharger + the turbo.......

OMFG! I've seen so many batshit insane forced induction setups on various engines. NONE of them can hold a candle to this.

@suppratwin not the first, i seen others on the internet, and in the group B rallies they used simular set ups which was 1970-1986

something like a 4agzte. S/c -(by pass valve?) turbo- intercooler- throttle body. Looks pretty well done.

Id really like to see a vid of the new setup. Can u post? Did i understand u correctly that u have a cobra blower feeding the pontiac blower and the turbo? I was thinking u could add a belt driven blower too! Triple charged!

The thing nobody realizes is by putting that giant compressor pulley on there he's essentially taking all the boosting ability out of the supercharger you put a smaller pulley to increase boost and with that giant turbo on there he's going to have a ton of lag thinking the superchargers doing something when it's not

I really don’t get how it works though. The supercharger is mounted directly on top of the cylinder head but the intake happens on the side, you can see where the intake manifold is. So how does the forced air get routed to where it needs to go? Is there another intake port or is there piping not shown? And how does the pressurized air on one side of the roots supercharger make it through the screws and increase more pressure efficiently or does it allow the turbos to spool quicker because there’s an immediate pressure differential because the screws are sucking air before the turbo has a chance to pressurize the piping? So many questions

So like I was asking, is there two charge pipes that go into one side of the intercooler? That both the turbo and sc compress the lbs of boost and one into the intec manifold? The turbo is enough.
