Encrypting Redis traffic is essential in many architectures for security, compliance, and privacy of data. In this talk, we will explore about the history of how users of Redis have been able to secure their connections and that evolved into the implementation being released in Redis 6.0. We will review the several iterations of pull requests and talk about the lessons that were learned along the way.
