Yes, a credit card is needed to rent a car, purchase airline tickets, etc. Also, having a line of credit is nice to have in an emergency.

I had to live off credit cards (22-29%) to help pay regular bills!!! Food, utilities, gas and many other things…it took me years to dig out!

Agreed and I’m taking this as a warning…For a bit now, I’ve been saying I’m going to choose one of my cards to be the one I use like I would debit and just pay it off as soon as the charges show up on the account…You are absolutely right…I already knew this…yet failed to execute…and today IS that day…Debit card out of play NOW.…only if I need quick cash…Thanks for the reminder…💪🏽

You spoke facts about debit cards. Cash is a liability to carry too. There’s no name on cash. If someone robs us out of our cash it’s gone. Using a credit card & paying it off in full been the move for me. One of my CC was used for an unauthorized purchased. I reported it fraud & it was removed no problem. It’s hard to do that with a debit card.

I buy everything with either a credit card, and pay it off before the end of the month, or buy online with PayPal, at 6 months no interest.
I've had the same cash in my wallet that was in there more than 3 years ago. I just don't use cash any more.

From what I studied years ago in Finance it seems most big businesses run almost exclusively off of credit. They make profit and that gives them more leverage to borrow more from what I remember. It was really interesting when I learned that.

The only thing I would say is, some banks do offer protection on their cards for you money. Had my card stolen and my bank called me and immediately replaced my fund. But they don’t offer purchase protection, which I can’t imagine not having now.

I saw that video from Cuban & thought the same. Dude is not walking around with cash envelope or his personal debit card in his pocket.

$5 says he has the JP Morgan Reserve card & the American Express Centurion card in his wallet.

I’ve never used a debit card…too little protection. I’ve always used a credit card and paid in full at the end of the month even with a rolling balance. Mark Cuban was talking to somebody else…not us out here still crawling. 😂😂😂😂

I paid my credit cards off years ago, and I got out of debt in every way possible. I would take financial advice from Dave Ramsey, before I took financial advice from LeBron James, (a billionaire who looks like me), simply because he's a billionaire basketball player and not a financial advisor. I care very little if someone looks like me as long as there's a long history of successful financial instructions. Listening to and reading Dave Ramsey's financial books is why we're financially free today. Thank you for the "Debit Card" information❤

Don't use credit cards UNLESS you are financially responsible enough to pay them off EVERY month. Most times if you are using credit cards to make ends meet then you are in deep trouble. Find some way to reduce your expense and earn more income. Credit cards are a trap for financially illiterate people.
