Imagine: you meet the person that came up with this, you're impressed by their genius and go to shake their hands and congratulate them, you reach your hand out, and they just hand you another football

I love how it's a brilliant solution but it also treats creeps like toddlers 🤣🤣

Honestly, I'd ask to hold the pompoms for the comedic effect

I love that they also have a handler who vocalizes the rules for the cheerleaders. This takes so much pressure off them. It’s incredibly sad that a lot of us feel unsafe and we know we won’t be heard if we use our voices to create boundaries. Kudos to the people who created this system to protect the people!!

I appreciate that first man who was asking if it was okay to put his arm around her before he did it. And also the handler who steps in so the ladies don't have to risk a confrontation by saying no. Very good process.

Holy shit! I'm a dude, I wouldn't have put my arms around them, but Holy shit that takes the anxiety of wtf to do with my hands

As a non-creepy man, I love this simply because I don't know wtf to do with my hands in any photo hahaha

You can’t shake their hand Taylor, but you can probably hold their football.

Cosplayers, consider having a prop meant to serve a similar *_no-touchy_* purpose.

Maybe even include it in the photo package so they can carry a piece of your branding around with them.

Reminds me of the wiggles making the "wiggly fingers" pose (everyone in frame shows their palms to the camera and wiggles their fingers) the standard and exclusive pose they do when interacting with fans for photos and such.

It literally helps everyone, the cheerleaders, the men, the picture, anyone seeing the picture 😂 brilliant. Took us too long to figure this one out.

that football is saving so much comfort lol

I like this idea as a cosplayer. The nerd crowd is ESPECIALLY awkward and touchy. Carrying a prop they can hold would be such a fun idea to help those who don’t know what to do with their hands!

Yeah, we have been trained that in photos you put your arm around the shoulder or waist of the person you are posing with. This is an excellent way to change that to make everyone comfortable without shaming men for just doing what they have been told to do for their entire lives. Love it!

I feel like Keanu Reeves gave the publicity and legal teams tips on how to take mixed company photographs. Brilliant.

TOTALLY AGREE! No groping or creepy touchy feely people putting hands where they don't belong...FUCKING BRILLIANT! The FUNNIEST part about this is how they are like children, they just tell them "no touching the cheerleaders but you CAN touch this" and they're TOTALLY okay with it. HILARIOUS 😅 !

It is crazy smart for someone to think about that. It is also shameful that it is needed.

Reminds me of the couple who got their dog not to bark at people coming in the house by training him to grab a pillow and offer it to the person walking in, because he couldn't bark with a pillow in his mouth! They couldn't train him to not bark, but they could train him to do something else instead.

And I'm NOT trying to equate men with animals, just saying the psychology works in a lot of places XD

Did you know Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders only make $15-$20/hour, and only $500/game. Yup! Look it up. They could make more working for UPS or on an assembly line at Ford.

The cowboys football team also has a no touch/tackle policy too. Ironic.
