We investigate the continuity and discontinuity of the greatest integer function. We consider the sided limits at integer and noninteger values and find int(x) is continuous at all non integers and discontinuous at all integers, these discontinuities are jump discontinuities.

If you look at the graph and check for continuity, your result is discontinuous. But if you go on to learn from this video, you understand the paradoxical nature of the GIF, It is continuous . That's the beauty of mathematics
