Hello. I really liked the SOG Powergrab from your video, but I can't find it on sale anywhere, tell me, could you help me with this somehow?

I have the PowerPlay with the moulded sheath. I specifically wanted this model, since apart from the PowerLitre, this is is the only tool that can be held close by some latch or mechanism, in this case, the moulded sheath. I wanted this tool, because I wanted a tool with quick carry case when I am on the job and I also have my proper tools with me. I can just throw in a bit extender with the bit I need into my pocket and insert it into the tool and hold it together with the sheath. And if I need Philips or flathead I will also have that.

Some advice with this tool:
1: It will have gunk even when new. Don't expect Victorinox quality. You would have to clean it and lubricate it before use.
2: Adjust pivot screws so that tools don't rattle, but you can still get them out.
3: Locks are tight, but if you open them up and jam a small metal in there to hold them open for 1-2 days the spring will loosen up and you can easily use it one handed.
4: Its not an EDC tool. Its heavy, it has edges, use it with glove (This is the way I use it)
5: The handle material is definitely thinner and more flexible than on my Leatherman skeletool (wich I do EDC along with vic huntsman). On the skeletool, there is a metal sheath where the knife folds in, which I cannot press in with my finger, on the other hand, I can press in the handle material on the PowerPlay.
6: File is useless. Thinking of grining it down and laser engraving a ruler on it...
7: Everything else works as advertised.

So if you want good OHO pliers with optional bit holder capacity and a bunch of knifes and screwdrivers, then this is the tool for you. Its not as capable as a Wave or Surge or Victorinox, but its a good pairing when I have a toolbag with me. I would have the bare essential tools (plier, knife, screwdriver) always quickly accessible with the moulded sheath and if my colleague is using the screwdriver handle, then I could just grab the extender and a bit from the kit and work in parallel to him (we rarely do onsite implementation but when we do, company only has one toolbag).

I know this is a old video but I see your comment and u have a ton of multi-tools...so if u had to suggest one and only one what one would it be??? Im kinda on the fence with either the Leatherman Surge+ or the Leatherman Wave+ or Leatherman Charge+

Hello again. What a strange day in La Tour ! Heard that the etappe tommorow is been shortened to 60 km. Hope that Kruiswijk can surprise me.
But what a good vid again. However, personally i would never buy a SOG. I don´t like the way they look. Leatherman is still my favourite tool. Today i orderd an Opinel no 8 knife, do you know them and do you think they are good enough for EDC ? The other knives i have look to aggresive i think. Opinel looks a little bit old school but i heard the are really sharp and reliable.
What multitool would you advise for a 100 euro ? Keep on going making the good vids and please keep using the smileys...it´s your brandmark . Hope hearing from you

12.08.23 приобрёл сог пауэрплей за 40 долларов, мягко говоря покупкой был разочарован, качество изготовления тула просто ужасное, нормально открываются только пассатижи, всё остальное надо открывать с помощью отвёртки, серейторный нож и пила по дереву острые, основной клинок вообще тупой, фиксаторы инструментов достаточно тугие и работают невнятно. Вывод, даже недорогая копия лезерман вейв будет в разы качественнее, и пользоваться им будет приятнее, пауэрплей к покупке не рекомендую, он своих денег не стоит .
