Why and When Should Veterans Hire a VA Disability Lawyer?

If you're a veteran who is disabled, you may be wondering if you should hire a VA disability lawyer. The answer to this question depends on your individual situation.

There are a number of reasons why you might want to hire a lawyer. For example, if your claim for VA benefits has been denied, or if you're not receiving the full amount of benefits you're entitled to, a lawyer can help you appeal the decision or negotiate for a higher benefit rate.

A VA disability lawyer can also help you with other issues related to your disability, such as getting your disability compensation tax-free or making sure your VA medical benefits are properly provided.

I was getting no where with the VA until I hired a lawyer (Hill & Ponton) and they got me to 100%. I would have never been even close trying to manage this myself. Thank you Brian Hill and team was worth every dollar spent.

Dude. All your videos lately have been following my life and difficulties with the VA lately. I was just denied again. And if the VA keeps fucking with me. I'm going to lawyer up. I just said that yesterday. Crazy. Thanks bro.

"Your Examiner" is the reason to hire a lawyer. A lawyer knows which Dr.'s are VA certified, that are there to assist the Veteran, instead of being hired guns from the VA. My lawyer got me from 90% to 100% T&P, took 20% of the VA back pay, and was worth every damn penny.

Aloha veterans! It's too bad that we have to fight so hard for something we have earned.
But that's the harsh truth. Keep up the fight. Get the benefits you deserve!

Got denied from the VA- calling to get a lawyer- I don’t want to keep trying an appeal and get denied because of some minor detail. C&P exam- I felt, had went well- turns out VA doctor didn’t even report the symptoms I reported to him- why would I have filed a claim for migraines with ZERO migraine events?? I know I certainly didn’t tell
Him that- this is been a pain. I need to find a good lawyer who will help.

They denied stuff that they didn't even test for on my claim. Great info, thanks Craig!

I think the most important part I pull for this is making sure you have it claimed while you where active duty and making sure you have mental health appointments and diagnosis from a va provider

I had diagnosis, symptoms, a Nexus, AND a bad C&P examiner who didn't even use a goniometer during the range of motion test. I asked him about it and he shrugged his shoulders.

Great info as always! So thankful to have your expertise on this whole VA process. I’ve been highlighting my depression symptoms and seeking treatment with the VA for months, still waiting for them to diagnose me. Should I ask them for a diagnosis or how do I go about that?

Good information as long as they can read and not ignore your medical evidence. Things would go a lot faster. But No they force you into a supplemental or HLR

Read the Decision Letter carefully understand it and then appeal....most decision are flawed....

How do you know it wasn’t their examiner? Could have been their private doctor did a dbq, nexus, and or gave them the literature. Sometimes a lawyer is your best option. Remember the adage “a person who represents himself, has a fool for a client”

It is hard after trying for over 25 years. I have been denied several times since 1996 by doing it myself. I did lawyer up to help me. The hardest part is to find a doctor that will write you a nexus letter.

Hey Combat Craig 👋 love your channel. Still active duty but trying to learn as much as I can. Question you may have covered this in previous videos but can a veteran be denied employment, I.E. seeking Law Enforcement work, because of receiving VA Disability for PTSD?

just had my first C and P examine...they found arthritis in my lumbar part of my spine and small endplate Schmorl's nodes
throughout along with small anterior endplate osteophytes at
L1-2 ....I told them I have to take it easy day to day and watch my movements out of fear of a flair up ...I told them my pain is between 5 on normal days to a 10 on flair up days... which is true if I have a flair up the pain is insane and I cant really move at all and itll last about a week ....also my knees get weak and tremble and will give out and hurt if I over work them ...they said they found nothing in my knees with an x-ray lol...I asked if the back issue could be the cause and I keep asking for an MRI of my back but they keep refusing it ...they do not want to connect the two issues....they said my x-rays dont correlate with my story lol... but I am telling them the truth... motion test i can move side to side but front to back not too much ...the first time my back gave out was on active duty and i was prescribed pain meds ...also first knee issue was around that time as sure what to make of this...Im going to file for depression, anxiety, and dissociative disorder all diagnosed while in service and prescribed meds next...lets see how this goes lol
