Ruby doing her mothers iconic pose is both happy and sad. It shows that she is carrying her mothers legacy and becoming a top. I do like her mother wanted her to be that pose is iconic. I wish her mother was here to see this off our daughter growing up 😢😭

Ngl this chapter is either the biggest ass pull or damn good plot twist, because first of all ryouske being bf of nino makes sense but it's just so random, at least we get to know a lot of nino, and the best thing about this arc and this chapter is that we were all believed that hikaru was the victim of someone's action, Hikaru lied, this made me love hikaru and ai even more because they're the opposite sides of each coin, one is perfect at lying and used that talent for the greater good, and the other one is perfect at lying but uses that talent for selfish needs, Ai and Hikaru are the yin and yang of Lying.

With Aqua's confrontation happening, Hikaru is not gonna be able to walk out of this. There are two things that can happen: he'll either die or go to prison for the rest his life. I hope there's a fitting conclusion that would put an end to the revenge plot.

Hikaru pulled a "You thought the final boss was Nino? But it was me, Hikaru!" meme. Here's hoping Aqua has something to defend himself. As in it's just the two of them in a remote location. Perfect for "accidental falls"... And Akane never keeps stopping being my favorite girl by doing that gamble...

This is WHY we read this manga and watch the anime. The cliffhangers at the end of the chapter. The twists and turns. The tragedies and redemption. Again Detective Akane is always on the case. She does her research and digging and knew something like this would happen again. Only someone like Akane would use herself as bait to lure Nino out. Those stabproof vests aren't cheap. They can run from $700 to $1, 000 or more. Still, a boss may be defeated but the main one (Hikaru) is still out there.

It would be believable that Hikaru had lied so much his entire life that he is already broken to the point where he can't even be true to himself anymore and Aqua deep down knows that and realized he could not fulfill Ai's last wish to save him either. All I can say is Aqua by his own will broke Kana's heart not attending her last concert that she went as far as asking him to attend for the sake of ending the hatred he had held on to for years, unless Hikaru does something unexpected giving Aqua one last chance to back down and live his life.

As for Nino and Ryosuke, either they were enabled by Hikaru or not, they dug themselves into a rabbit hole with their obsession of looking Ai through the lens of someone unapproachable and not as a normal person like everyone else. Ironically Ai would have still kept them at arms length for personal reasons.

I KNEW IT!! I knew he was putting on an act from the very beginning. Ai's murder wasn't an accident and Ai wasn't even his first victim! It was the woman who groomed him as a child who he got killed by telling her husband about her affair. This info, which I was so frustrated that no one remembered tells us one obvious thing. Hikaru got Ai killed on purpose, with a calculated plan of using a proxy which he had done before

I will say that this chapter reminded me that as Cool as Hikaru has been in these last few chapters, I feel like they NEVER actually committed to him actually BEING the villain. Like up until these last chapters we literally got next to NOTHING about Hikaru. Like we did get small snippets of him here and there, but I just feel like they never let him have his Villain Moments. You know what I mean. Like Low-Key we could’ve cut away from the main cast to see what Hikaru was up to in the background.

Well i will take my guess. Aqua and Hikaru will have talk at beggining of chapter 160, then maybe just maybe by chance. (Ai's ghost will appear in front of Hikaru when he is about to do something, like an illusion he can only see. Then we get Hikaru mentaly breaking down). Right after Ai's ghost giving him last goodbye saying that to watch around Ruby and Aqua because they are adults now. After that Hikaru asking Aqua something about having someone shining for him even in those moments then we get scene with Aqua (similar to Kana as she recalled moments with Aqua in chapter where she admited her love for him to herself) I mean that wolud be cool him recalling moments like that then remembering his promise that he made and rushing to concert (Where maybe last song will be something Kana wrote for him) This might be some crazy theory. But knowing Aka this colud be possible who knows!

Love the fact that Aqua is keeping Kana away from all this, in my eyes i see it as keeping her faraway from the darkness and she shines as brightly as ever

When I was reading this chapter, I got a suicide warning there was a suicide seen in this chapter, and because of that they gave a warning that this chapter contains hard topics like suicide that just goes to show how serious this chapter is 😨😱😔

I just love how Aka is still throwing curve balls at as, even this late in the story. For a moment, you think Hikaru may redeem him self, but in the end, it turns out, he's still rotten to the core. Reason Akane an others are not near Aqua and Hikaru may be that Ruby is still in danger, in this chapter, another former idol from old B Komachi was shown, would not surprise me if Hikaru got her charmed as well...Who knows...

Chapter 159 finally dropped after a 2 week long famine. And it was definitely satisfying to read. The chapter was just plot twist after plot twist. Ichigo became plot relevant and Akane just cemented her position as the eternal best girl after pretending to be Ruby. I bet she studied Ruby's mannerisms like crazy to imitate her. And omg, I can't believe Nino and Ryosuke were actually dating. I guess Ryosuke wasn't some random pawn after all. Gotta appreciate Mengo for making those gorgeous panels of the dome performance. Hikaru watching the dome performance with Aqua seemed wholesome until he looked at Aqua like a psycho.
So is Hikaru the final villain after all? When Akane asked who made Nino and Ryosuke do everything, was it Hikaru? What if he intentionally sent Ryosuke to kill Ai? This guy definitely fooled us in some way.

Oh thank goodness Ruby is safe 🥲 and that Akane and Ichigo were able to stop Fuyuko but yeah I also get the feeling that Aqua and Hikaru's showdown isn't exactly over either and that he might not be able to save him like his mother Ai wanted and that he might be just too far gone.😢
