a week later with my work a54, battery didn't get any better than the 1st day out when it was learning my usage! 10/42 hours sot/standby with power save mode. and 8/26 in normal mode. vs my personal s22u am REALLY happy with the A54's battery life.

Fair enough with the battery capacity difference. Even though, not all Android phones have battery life as good as A54

iPhone 14 with 3279 mAh survives 10h 10m, which means that it uses around 5.4 mA/min; leading to 1% loss in every 6 minutes at average...
On the other hand, Galaxy A54 loses 82% at the same time, meaning that it uses around 6.7 mA/min, leading to 1% loss in 7.5 min at average...
It is great that a midranger like A54 still manages to beat a flagship iPhone 14 in terms of battery life, but I think that total mAh has created an advantage to the A54...The A15 Bionic still manages to be more power efficient, but Exynos 1380 surprisingly challenges the A15 Bionic...

My iPhone 14 battery life sucks i had a iphone 12 pro max on a older version of IOS and that thing lasted me 3 DAYS! On a charge.

Logically. More power just takes more battery. It's more accurate to compare phones of the same class

Because iPhone is using a flagship chip that will keep consuming battery while the Midrange chip in the A54 can't consume more than needed to do midrange regular tasks. This isn't a logical comparison, even Android flagships will struggle with Midrange Android phones in terms of battery.

Great battery for both of them. Keep in mind iPhone is the more powerful phone so games will automatically run in up to 2x the resolution compared to Androidy versions of games. But also it has a Dolby Vision Apple engineered display. And then take into consideration the value of Apple's exclusive technology like 3D facial recognition and the App Store where you get more effective and more polished versions of everyday apps and heavy weight apps. RAM management has also been supreme on iPhone for the last few years.
