Season 8, Episode 1

#Lifetime #Supernanny #JoFrost

Drawing on 30 years of professional experience, Jo is back to help stressed-out parents tackle social and behavioral challenges as well as new issues faced by modern-day families. With a recipe of honest, direct, and nurturing support, Jo offers real-life solutions to parents — uplifting families with advice, techniques, and tips to iron out the chaos in their lives, helping families evolve. The families featured this season are from cities and towns around the country, including Phenix City, AL; Spokane, WA; Makaha, HI; Corona, CA; Mesa, AZ; Cortlandt Manor, NY; Gilbert, AZ; and more. Each of the families is dealing with diverse issues that span the spectrum of parenting challenges – from dealing with postpartum depression, ADHD, kids obsessed with electronic devices, blended families struggling with children acting out, military and first responder spouses facing separations – to parents buried in their phones and more. Jo will visit one new family each week and use her trusted and proven methods and elevated teachings to help them change their dynamics while focusing on positive reinforcement and connectivity. Supernanny’s first stop will be in Pittstown, NJ, where viewers will meet Jessica and CJ Braido and their four children. The couple recently went from the double duty to quadruple duty, when their twins Dax and Chase arrived three months ago. The dual-career parents were already at odds with opposing parenting styles and relying on devices as digital babysitters. With the tension rising, will Nanny Jo be able to teach Jessica and CJ to work together before chaos pushes them further apart?

“I have 4 kids and they all need attention all the time”

Um...yeah, sweetie, that’s how kids work. Nobody forced you to have 4 of them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Parents need to stop labeling their child with ADHD, so many kids get missed diagnosed with that and it’s so common for children to have lots of energy. I work in childcare and it’s more common than people think, not every child has ADHD. I’m glad Jo addressed that issue here with the parents

1) adhd isn’t tantrums
2) it isn’t contagious
3) you can’t just label it

Me: STOP HAVING KIDS

I have two girls and I noticed a stress increase at first but I changed my mentality to my kids, and it really helped. I started thinking like a child to try and connect with my oldest who felt left out with her new sister getting attention. And I followed super nanny's advice on setting a schedule, create structure and order, and more importantly I keep a calm mentality. Yelling, shouting, and lectures weren't working. But talking and correcting bad behavior did. I also pushed myself to run and play more even when I didn't feel like it. I'm working on my own schedule for the day so I can have my "me time" and romantic time with my husband. Study and learn about your kids, notice when you're in a rut and fix it, don't transfer your stress and anger on your kids because they are learning from you

I remember saying "It's not fair " to my mom once, probably around her age. I'm 22 and still recovering haha.

Question: why didn’t one parent eat with Riley at the restaurant!? Leave them there and reward her for her good behavior and come back later and pick them up

ADHD can actually be very serious and it irks me to no end that parents label every other kid who misbehaves as someone with ADHD. I've had struggles in my daily life having to do with ADHD and it's so much more than being hyperactive.

no one is using compassion towards this couple. i couldn’t imagine having 4 kids. it’s really hard work they are going their best. sure the mom might not know how to cope with what her daughter is going through. let’s not shame her for thinking something could be wrong and maybe considering it to be adhd. she isn’t saying that it 100% is she is just looking at things it might be.

It just seems like these parents had kids for the sake of having kids. Not because they wanted to grow with them as people

If they're complaining about their kids, THEN WHY DID THEY HAVE 4 KIDS ?? You can choose if you are ready to take the responsibility or not. Some people..
Edit: OMG SO MANY LIKES !!!!
