Here in the Denver metro area, we have two Cabelas. The one on the South side is larger than the one on the North side. We also have a Bass Pro Shop located kinda centrally.

Wow so bizarre ... a bit shocked if I may say .... ! Very different in Portugal and Europe in general. First the guns, in Portugal, you have to be law enforcement or have a strong reason to have license to carry any weapon in Portugal (like a judge, or a lawyer, private security, etc...) . Other reason people bear weapons is if they practice some weapons sports: like martial arts (katanas, sabers, nunchakus, etc.), precision shooting with fire arms, bows, crossbows, etc. in that case you must belong to that specific sport federation, even then, you cannot transport a loaded or assembled weapon. You must travel with the weapon dismounted, otherwise it counts like an unlicensed weapon and you can really get in trouble. I would say that the closest to that store that we have in Portugal, is "Decathlon" (fishing, bows, nature life and sports, etc.), and then we have weapons stores but usually not with firearms. For instance "arcobesta" (bow store in Portugal) is one of those stores. Regarding Hunting, there is a thing call "Coutadas" is a place, usually private property of one or more owners, where is legal to hunt in some specific seasons, and specific species, usually as a pretext to balance the ecosystem (usually rabbits, birds, hogs, foxes, etc...), but most of those hunters just like to shoot and kill animals ... definitely not my thing, there is some more ethical and human ways of controlling animal population than just to shoot them. In Portugal, many animals are killed to be used as food ... I am also struggling to be vegetarian, but for logistic and sometimes selfish reasons, I did not manage to do it yet ... probably in terms of cognitive thinking, emotions, fear, nervous system, many animals we eat are in that way similar to dogs and cats (our pets) ... Nevertheless, it is always great to know more of your culture and country, that is the way we can learn more and make "bridges" so our cultures can meet. Thanks. Beijinhos

I am from California and I am shocked! We have outdoor stores, but nothing like that and the gun display tells me exactly what's wrong with the US!! I am grossed out beyond belief!! NO ONE should own AR 15's and the like and I don't believe anyone hunts with them...Ugh! Thankful to live in peaceful Portugal 🇵🇹 where they gad a 'peaceful ' revolution and gun violence doesn't exist!!! I could not shop in that store and I grew up camping! I did like your vlog, but only for exposing the grotesque reality of American 'rights'!

I greatly respect your history and traditions with weapons, but for a Portuguese person it is a lot of violence and a civilized regression. The time for weapons to defend oneself was in the time of the Wild West. These stores in Portugal and Europe in general were not successful. This looks like an arsenal for war. It's a lot of information to assimilate. We are a very peaceful country so we do not need weapons to protect ourselves. This role is the responsibility of the National Republican Guard, Public Security Police and the Army.
Saudações de Portugal.
