I think Spain plays much better in the final's, I think through the rest of the games they don't care all to much or they already know they can win.

Haha, it's not confusing to me. We as soccer fans have the most to watch. The club season is typically from August to the end of May. The international tourneys are in the summer. Qualification for international tourneys happen during club season and that's about as confusing as it gets. You don't have to keep up with it all, it's way too much (biggest sport in the world), just follow the teams you care about. For me it's Mexico, Spain and of course Real Madrid is my favorite club.

Italy dominated the first half. Spain didn't look like themselves and Italy had chance after chance. The second half was much slower and much more even. Extra time was Spain's.
It followed a pattern reminiscent of when Spain won against Portugal.
