You're exactly right it's not only all about how much money you get off of each coin. It's the pleasure of the hunt looking for that rare coin. I call it adult Easter egg hunting, 😁👍

Thats what do also. Inexpensive and fun to find a lone wolf ddo or rpm that the shop doesn't have the time or man power to go through them. Good hunting.

Coin shops may pull key dates but they're not going to go searching for errors as a rule. But, what do they sell them in bulk for ?? Do they go by the Melt Value? Face on more modern dates?

Nice, errors usually keep value.

Recently I found a 1958 D that the D is filled.
What's so cool about it is the D is filled level for a D mm.
It's flat n filled. Very unusual...
Ya think?

I buy people change jars, I roll all the change for them and give them the cash without fees. That is why my collection is so gigantic 😁 old lady change jars are the best.

Same here !! Don't forget to check out the bags of world coins. Some English & China coins go over looked by some coin dealers.
The coin dealer charges me $65. for a bag full of old world coins.
Doing research on them is fun, it expands your coin knowledge too.
I found 3 English coins from that bag so far that go for around $100. in American $. On the back of the coin are hands in a circle, can't remember the coin name at the moment.
Fun to learn about !

I'm still finding them in rolls. At least 1 or 2 a roll. I collect them. 1 day I'll have the crap one melted for the copper. It's unfortunate people are still selling these as unsearched wheat penny rolls. Don't be fooled. Every wheat roll has been searched unless the seller can prove it's been in storage for years and even then it was definitely gone through before placed in storage.

I know you know this business a lot better than me Shawn. But I actually look for wheat pennies in the teens in the 20s. I find that they’re a lot more valuable to sell. So how do I do it? I make sure on eBay when I buy rolls of pennies but they are bank sealed rolls. I’m rolling is it cost me about 10 bucks but it’s a lot more fun when you come across these older dates. That’s what keeps me excited about Coins. But you’re right about being careful about the rules that you buy. Make sure they have a really good eBay rating and that they’re sealed and searched bankroll is right their advertising.

I was wondering if you actually find any wheat pennies worth anything that way? Or do they actually go through them looking for the error coins and such?

Right now, those go for the price of copper so he saved any sense from 1981 and down you can double your profit
