I am 72 years old. I first read about Oak Island in the 60s, and have been quite fascinated ever since. Objects so far found indicate a far older history to the area than previously thought. Glad to know that the search continues!

The experience of the story is absolutely amazing. These guys are following a dream from childhood and I am glad they are showing their dream on the History channel! The story is a treasure in itself! Great job!!

Top Ten "Finds":
1) Nail (must be from a 1600's ship).
2) Part of a board (must be bottom of a treasure chest),
3) Hinge (definitely part of a treasure chest),
4) Oxen Shoe (they used oxen to drag all that treasure around),
5) Bullet (fired at someone protecting all that treasure),
6) gold button (actually gold gilt, but facts don't matter here)(must have been lost by a rich pirate, since it's gold!),
7) Ax head (has to be 1800's),
8) rusty butter knife (colonial era, no doubt!)
9)Sardine can (they got hungry burying all that treasure)
10) Iron horse tack buckle (definitely 1700's).

Sorry, guys, but detectorists (like myself) find all of the above every time we metal detect. NONE of them are clues that there's treasure buried nearby.
