Yeah, and my Bosch not older then 4 years constantly had failing door lock and twice its electronic circuitry burned. Then i switched to Whirlpool one of the most expensive model about 800 Euros, although warranty fixed it no joking after one week its electronic circuitry burned down. While i have relatives who use Beko for over 10 years and didnt even need to fix a screw. It all depends on which model of which brand, there are good and bad models in all brands.

The High Tech heater is the same as Hotpoints Titanium Alloy element heater. The Titanium is limescale resistant, its too smooth to basically Limescale to cling too, obviously over time Limescale will build up, and dirt sticks to heater, as in all washing machines, though it should give you almost double the amount of life.
You cant prevent limescale building up though, and it will build up on all other parts of the machine.

@glenfieldmathk1 Yes, it is smooth, but when items like coins go in the machine, they can pass by the element, chipping it and making it vunerable to scale, and then the coin will end up in the filter.

I know that, but there is no method of preventing limescale without a chemical to remove it :)

There is nothing you can do. Limescale is a deposit witch there is no method for not letting limescale get on to the element. It will sit thereas bad as other washers. Unless you have a load of water filters and the like.

well you can only learn from experience, alot of the parts are very cheap too and a sealed drum so there not even worth repairing. atleast someone agrees with me now lol
