International Youth Day - Flagship Programme

To celebrate the International Youth Day, August 12th, the team of UN-Habitat's Flagship Programme 1 ‘Inclusive and Sustainable Neighbourhoods and Communities’ invited youth around the world to share what they appreciate and care for in the neighbourhoods they like.
This Flagship Programme supports governments and urban actors to create social value, shared economic prosperity and environmental resilience through urban regeneration. Urban regeneration conducted as a sustainable, participatory, and inclusive process involving all relevant stakeholders. The engagement of the youth is of great importance in this process, not only so that urban actors understand their needs, but to help build a stronger community with increased awareness of urban issues and capacity to solve these.
Let us all listen to youth’s perceptions, ideas and experiences in the urban realm to achieve a more inviting, vibrant and safe urban environment!
