Maryland Public Television is the PBS member state network for the U.S. state of Maryland. It operates under the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission, and it launched on October 5, 1969.

Good video Jonty! Surprised the video is nearly twenty-two minutes long, and there are a number of logos I haven't seen from MPT until watching this video. I never saw the fourth and fifth logos before, and the fifth logo has good animation for the time; the music is also one of my favourites. My favourite logos from MPT are the third, fifth, eighth and ninth logos. The newer logos from MPT look boring to me, but it's surprising to see MPT continue using the fourteenth logo since 2008. Looking forward to the next video, and Happy April Fools and belated fifteenth birthday! :-)

Fantastic ident history of Maryland Public Television, Jonty! My best favourite ident from MPT would definitely be the ident from 1979! Colourful and nice visuals! Nice music! Some of my other favourites would include the 1984 ident (station ID variant), the 1992 ident and the 2009 ident.

I'm glad that I wasn't born in Maryland. I was born in New York and my PBS station is THIRTEEN WNET New York, New York. Nice television history of this PBS Station in parts of Maryland, JontyMaster. 😀
