The French Quarter, also known as the Crown Jewel of New Orleans, is one of the city's most historic neighborhoods. However, there is plenty of new mixed in with the old. A reimagined French Market coexists with beloved antique stores and old restaurants, as do modern boutiques and artisan cocktails. It is a popular tourist destination in the city, as well as a draw for locals. Here is what you need to know about French Quarter, New Orleans. So let’s take a look…

Note: some of the restaurants on my lists have closed due to current events, but have plans to re-open soon!

It is said that when someone mispronounces a word it means the person has read the word and not heard it. It's wonderful to know people who read. Here's some words you might like to pronounce correctly, at least the Louisiana way: Boutique = boo-teek. Vieux Carre = Voo Car-ray. Limo (short for limousine) = Lem-mo. Pere Antoine = Pear An-twan. Fleur de Lis = (in N.O.) Fleur de Lee. Mardi Gras = Mardi Graw. Desolate = Deso-let. Seance = Say-ahnce. I don't know what you were saying but this is one person's name: Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan. You really did a wonderful job of narrating, your voice is perfect for the job. I know you will do better at pronounciation.
