Or to find reading on V2, you can first find the current (I = VT/RT) which is 2 and use the formula: I × R1 which is 2 × 8=16V.

Since Rp have the same value or magnitude, therefore it means that A2 = A3 and both of them are equal to 1A. Hence Vp = IR2 = (1)(8) = 8V. Also if you are going to use R3 you can get the same answer.
