Something Stupid by Carson & Gaile is featured in Swan Song, the ninth episode of Season Four. It is sung by Brittany and Sam.

Brittany is lured into an empty classroom with cereal by Sam, who has taken advantage of the fact that she tends to forget breakfast on Tuesdays. He then confesses that he has had feelings for Brittany for a while, since he feels she is the only person who truly understands him. Here upon, Brittany confesses that she likes Sam too. Sam then expresses his pity that he has never had the opportunity to sing a duet with Brittany, and that he has thus united a band in the room, so that he can make up for that.

Together they sing the ballad, holding the music sheetsand reading off them. As the performance comes to an end, Sam attempts to kiss Brittany but she draws back, explaining that she's afraid of exposing Sam to the danger of angry fans of Brittana.
